Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

NEED2YARN ("the service", "we", "us") respects your privacy. We collect as little as possible and never share it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

We do not ask for your last name, address, email (unless you choose to provide one for a booking confirmation), or any personal background.

2. What we do not collect or keep

Conversations are never recorded, transcribed, or noted. Nothing you say on a call is stored anywhere. There is no file, no history, and no record of what was discussed.

3. Why we collect it

Your first name and phone number are used only to deliver the service you booked — to connect your call, send a booking confirmation or reminder, and resolve a dispute if one arises. We do not use your details for marketing.

4. How long we keep it

Your phone number is retained for 12 months for dispute-resolution purposes, then permanently deleted. Your first name is not retained beyond what is needed to deliver your session.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your personal information. Limited details are processed by the third-party services that make the booking work — our booking platform, payment processor, and call-forwarding provider — solely to deliver your session. These providers have their own privacy obligations.

6. Marketing

We do not send unsolicited marketing messages. In line with the Spam Act 2003, we will not message or email you for marketing without your consent.

7. Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete your phone number before the 12-month period ends. We will action reasonable requests promptly.

8. Security

We hold the minimal information we collect securely and limit access to it. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we store to the bare minimum to reduce risk.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always applies.

10. Contact

For any privacy question or request, please get in touch via the contact details provided at booking.

Draft policy — to be finalised before taking paid bookings. Have this reviewed and, if needed, replaced with a professionally generated set that names your business entity and contact channel.
