Sounds familiar?

If any of these could be you

You're exactly who this is for. Wherever you are in the country.

"

"You've been separated a few months. Your mates have heard it all. Your family are worried and quietly picking sides. You just need to say it out loud, once, to someone with no stake in what you decide."

You need a Full Yarn.

"

"You've been carrying everyone else's load as well as your own for months. You know something has to give. You just can't say that to anyone at work, and your partner's tired of hearing it."

You need a Full Yarn.

"

"You're working away again. Another three weeks on site. The phone's the only line you've got to a real conversation, so once the shift's done, you just want a yarn. No judgment, no agenda."

You need a Late Yarn.

"

"The nearest help is two or three hours away, and the wait for it is weeks. You don't need all that. You just need to talk it through with someone, today, on the phone, and get on with your day."

You need a Quick Yarn.

The honest comparison

Why not just book a therapist?

Honestly, sometimes that's the right call. But there's a gap between "I need therapy" and "I need to talk."

The usual way

  • 8 to 12 week average wait to be seen
  • $150 to $318 a session at private rates
  • A GP referral and a Mental Health Care Plan to claim Medicare
  • Only 10 subsidised sessions a year, then full price
  • Notes taken, a framework, sometimes a diagnosis
A yarn

A real conversation, today

  • Available today, book and talk the same day
  • $50 for 30 minutes, $100 for an hour
  • No GP, no referral, no Mental Health Care Plan
  • Nothing recorded, no notes, no diagnosis
  • Just a real conversation with a real person

Already used your 10 Medicare sessions for the year and facing full private rates? This is the conversation for in between. And if you're dealing with something clinical, we'll say so and point you in the right direction. This isn't a replacement for professional care, it's what's missing before and around it.

How It Works

Three steps. That's it.

No referral. No waitlist. No intake form.

01

Pick a time

Choose a session that works. Morning, afternoon, or after hours. Available seven days a week across Australia.

02

Pay & confirm

Secure upfront payment. First name and phone number only. Nothing else is asked or needed.

03

Call and talk

Dial the number in your confirmation. We pick up. You talk. Nothing leaves the call. Ever.

Who calls

Real people. Real reasons.

These aren't case studies. They're composites of the people who call, from all over the country. See if you recognise yourself.

Dave
41 · Brisbane · Going through a split

"Three kids. Mutual friends who've all picked a side. He just needs to say it all out loud to someone who isn't in the middle of it."

Sarah
37 · Burleigh, Gold Coast · Burning out

"Managing a team of twelve for four years. Running on empty. Can't show weakness at work. Partner doesn't want to hear it anymore."

Wayne
39 · FIFO, Pilbara · Working away

"Three weeks on, one off. Can't show any of it on site. The phone after shift is the only real line he's got, so he rings for a yarn."

Trish
51 · Regional NSW · Carrying a lot

"Nearest help is three hours away with a month-long wait. She doesn't need all that. She just needs someone to talk to, today."

Ground Rules

Bring anything, with a few limits

Almost anything sitting heavy is fair game. There are only a handful of things that genuinely can't be helped with here.

What you can bring

  • Relationship trouble with partner, family, or mates
  • Work stress or burnout
  • Career decisions or crossroads
  • Feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed
  • A decision you can't talk about openly
  • Just needing to vent to someone with no stake in it
  • Anything else that's been sitting heavy

What we can't help with

  • Medical or clinical advice
  • Legal advice
  • Crisis or suicidal ideation (see below)
  • Illegal activities or topics
  • Anyone under 18
If you're in crisis, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636. Both are free and available 24/7.

Questions

Common questions

No. This isn't a registered therapy or clinical service. There's no diagnosis, no treatment plan, no notes. It's a real conversation with a real person who'll listen without judgment. And sometimes that's exactly what you need, not six sessions with a stranger reading from a framework.

Just your first name and a phone number. No last name. No personal history. Nothing you're not comfortable sharing. The phone number is held for 12 months for dispute purposes only, never shared, never used for anything else.

Full refund if you cancel 24 hours or more before your session. 50% refund if you cancel within 24 hours, since your slot was held. No-shows forfeit the full amount. Refunds processed within 5 business days.

Yes. Nothing discussed on the call is recorded, noted, or shared with anyone. Full stop. Your first name and phone number are the only details held on file, for the minimum time required under Australian privacy law.

Almost. The things we can't help with are medical or legal advice, crisis situations, illegal topics, or anything involving someone under 18. Beyond that, it's all fair game: relationships, work, career, decisions, life, feeling stuck, needing to vent.

No. It's based in Burleigh on the Gold Coast, but it's a phone service for all of Australia: city, suburbs, regional, remote, or working away. If you've got phone reception, you can have a yarn.

Of course. A lot of people call once they've used their 10 subsidised sessions for the year and are facing full private rates. There's no referral and no yearly cap here. Book whenever you need to talk.

Ready?

Sometimes you just need to get it off your chest.

No diagnosis. No follow-up unless you want it. No judgment. Just a real conversation with a real person.
